The skill
Paste this into SKILL.md, or tell your agent to follow it with this list. It submits the free directories and communities. For editors, it finds the current contact and drafts the pitch. It does not send the email unless you say so.
--- name: startup-directory-submit description: Submit a startup to the free directories and communities in this list. For Pitch an editor sites, find the current editorial contact and draft a pitch. Do not send email unless the user explicitly says to send it. --- # Startup directory submissions Read the startup URL and this list. Ask once for anything you cannot see on the site: public founder name, the email they want on forms, logo rights, location, launch date. Do not invent claims. Submitting is allowed only when they ask you to submit. Research or drafts stop there. ## Directories and communities 1. Open the site and confirm the route is still $0. A free account or a plan named Free is not enough. 2. Skip paid routes, card trials, and anything that requires a purchase. 3. Check for an existing listing before opening a new form. 4. For communities, read the rules. Post only where promotion is allowed. Otherwise skip. 5. Submit with the authorized facts. Do not take paid upgrades. 6. Save the confirmation. A submitted form is not a live backlink. ## Pitch an editor Find the current editorial contact on that outlet. Draft one pitch for that site. Do not send it unless they explicitly say to send that email. If you cannot find a current contact, say it is missing. ## Do not - Email, DM, or request reviews unless they explicitly tell you to send that message. - Buy links, votes, or reviews. - Bypass CAPTCHA, rate limits, or sign-in. - Change their website, pay, or accept extra obligations without asking. Keep a log with site, URL, status (skipped, prepared, submitted, pending, live), and the next step.
