Time to value

Requires Expertise

You can use ZeroVM to run single-thread applications in secure and lightweight execution environments directly where your data lives. Based on Chromium Native Client technology, it embeds processing tasks into storage systems rather than moving data over networks. The runtime provides a C99-compliant environment with a ported standard library and in-memory file system. It treats all inputs, outputs, and network channels as basic Unix files, creating a fully deterministic environment for processing large data sets safely and quickly inside your storage infrastructure.

What ZeroVM does

Compile C applications using the cross-compilation toolchainIsolate untrusted application code in a lightweight sandboxExecute deterministic calculations with synchronized system clocksHandle application input and output using standard Unix streamsProcess storage files locally without external data transferRun POSIX system calls within a memory-backed file systemEmbeds execution environments directly into data storage enginesRuns secure single-threaded applications using Chromium Native Client sandboxingProvides C99 and POSIX-compliant APIs through glibc supportModels all standard input, standard output, and logging channels as filesMaintains deterministic execution by standardizing time and thread operationsUses an in-memory transient file system for fast local data accessIncludes a dedicated cross-compilation GNU toolchain
