Opteran

Founded 2020

Navigate autonomous machines indoors and outdoors without GPS or cloud data centers

You can use Opteran to run navigation and spatial localization on autonomous mobile robots, drones, and industrial machines without relying on GPS, heavy training data, or external cloud infrastructure. Based on reverse-engineered insect brains, it operates directly on edge hardware using minimal computing power. It guides robots through unstructured indoor and outdoor environments, even when facing fluctuating lighting, reflections, featureless surroundings, or sudden scene changes. By moving away from massive neural network training, it lets autonomous devices adapt immediately to new physical routes simply by moving through them.

What Opteran does

Localize mobile robots in GPS-denied facilitiesMap new indoor environments by driving through themNavigate through reflective or featureless hallwaysRun autonomy software directly on low-power edge chipsMaintain positional accuracy despite changing ambient lightDeploy autonomous navigation without pre-training large modelsNeuromorphic edge processing without large cloud modelsGPS-free localization across indoor and outdoor environmentsVisual navigation that tolerates changing lighting and reflectionsZero-training space mapping by guiding the robot through the areaUltra-low data generation and computation requirementsCompatibility with AMRs, AGVs, drones, and robotic arms
