You can use Maritime to run persistent software agents in dedicated micro-VMs. Every agent receives an isolated Firecracker virtual machine with its own persistent disk that preserves memory, files, logins, and installed packages across restarts. When idle, the virtual machine automatically sleeps to conserve resources and restores within one second upon incoming activity. You can control instances using a web dashboard, CLI, or Python and TypeScript SDKs, or grant agents full desktop environments through Model Context Protocol integration.
